Hi,
I think I'm right in saying that the hammock that hangs over the front seats usually means that the doors cannot be opened when it's in use. Some say this is fine, others say 'no!' and recommend to extend the pole so it can be fitted to the pillar beyond the door. I've just seen that they can also be hung over adult bed at the back door end. Has anyone adapted/fitted etc and is willing to make any recommendations please? In the meantime, my 3 yr old can sleep under the van.
thanks
Pip

I have the Bluebird hammock and once fitted over front seats, the doors can still be opened...cant say for the other makes or for putting over main bed (interesting concept though)

Re: T25 front hammocks/child's bed fitting.
I bought the JK hammock and fitted it over our feet in the back end.
Main reason was we didn't want to lose having the front seats to sit in at night when our little angel (ahem) is asleep.... and it makes a really useful parcel shelf for dumping everything on (and hiding things under) during the day

BUT..... we've got a full width R&R, so not sure how practical it'd be if you've only got a 3/4 and your smalls aren't quite so small!

Hi Pip, if you look at ebay item number 160822129020 and if you want one tell them you are a member of club 80-90 and you will be given a 10% club discount. The pictures in the advert are using our van and the reproduction bunk is a lot stronger than the original westfalia cab bunk that it is copied from. The brackets in the picture are original ones, when they sent me the bunk to test fit i didnt need the brackets as they were already fitted so will get the brackets on wednesday to check them for size.

What is the weight limit on these bunks? I've seen pictures of kids in them, but I've also seen pcitures of two people lying on one.
Also, that bunk over the rear section is brilliant. I guess it also doubles up as a security cover, over the luggage section, when not in use as a bunk....
