Stainless exhaust
It's time for a new exhaust for my syncro doka. It's got the AAZ conversion and, having just spent a couple of hours blowing more holes in the exhaust pipe than I repaired, I'm thinking that stainless may well be the way forward.
I've just had a conversation with a pleasant chap from MIJ exhausts in Walsall who will make and fit a full system in about 2 1/2 hours with lifetime warranty for about £300 inc vat.
Does anybody have experience of MIJ and their exhausts? Sounds a good deal if the quality is ok.
Cheers
Al

Re: Stainless exhaust
Not bad but a full new standard exhaust set up inc J pipe (back box is a straight through system made by Eberspacher so good quality) Is well under £100 from GSF if I remember correctly and will last you over ten years. Depends how much you like shiny things but if you bought the GSF one you could off set the £200 against something else you always wanted

Re: Stainless exhaust
Thanks. That's a fair point. I have to admit that I didn't realise that a complete system was that reasonable. And of course it's likely to be a stock item, important given that I need the pickup for work. I'll investigate after the weekend.

Re: Stainless exhaust
FYI.
GSF only do the early TD systems, they don't do the late systems.

Re: Stainless exhaust
IMO if you need a steel 'late' style system, you could do worse than get an Ernst one (Made in Germany). JK sell them. However they DON'T sell the iron sealing ring.
