Holdsworth split charge relays - what type?

Post by italianjob »

good evening viewers

Could somebody please point me in the right direction: she's a 1.9 petrol '85 C reg Holdsworth Villa 3. Been reading the thread about checking to see if the split charge system is working, and hey presto after checking the leisure battery voltages with and without the engine running, I get the same reading, and its a new battery. Not really bothered with the split charge things for a few years, so I recently replaced the dead leisure battery with one recomended from this forum.

So, I plan to change the fuses (glass type, look to be in sound condition) and also plan to change the relays - question is, what type are they and where do I get them from please :?: :?:

I went into Halfwits the other night, and the only member of staff I could find didn't even know what a relay was. Maplins down the road only had 24v relays in stock, so I'm at a bit of a loss.

I'm guessing I need 12v version, but should they be 30 or 40 amps, and should they be single or double pole :?: :?:

Thanks in advance for any info you may offer :ok
