Re: Ply roof lining
does it curve easily to the bend of the roof and how did you attach it to the roof?

5mm curves easy enough, you'll probably find it has a "natural" curve to it, or at least it will after being stood for a couple of days, so work with this.
Mine is held in by the battens at the sides, the uprights behind the bulkhead, it's own curve and a half-dozen self-tappers (4 middle, 2 rear).

Self tappers are screwed into the roof traverses (middle and rear, could do front but I don't need to).
Yes, I put a sheet of bubble/foil insulation behind.

Here are some finished pics (though it's always a work in progress). The roof isn't covered and the battens aren't hidden, I like the wood finish.

i did try to fit ply to roof but couldnt get it to look right so i glued carpet to roof instead looks great and gives that bit more headroom.

That's the other route for sure, I'm looking to insulate it though and not sure the carpet would stick to thermowrap!?

Would you mind if I had a look at how you have done yours. The carpet on my roof is peeling off, probably due to the idiot I bought it off using cheap glue. Also I sent you a PM about our local meet, that may be of interest to you as a new Brummie member. cheers Jock

I used the HT glue from the mat fella and it stuck like the proverbial to a blanket. Weather hasn't really been too hot since though.
