Welding Health & Safety

Post by Wookster »

If anyone is interested I've just bought a Safir Twinair respirator off fleabay for £20 (more available), it has 2 hoses which fit over your shoulders to the canister which is behind your back out of direct dust etc. Bought it cos it fits under my welding mask.

Cheapest price I could find elsewhere was Lawson HIS at £55, although I did buy a pack of welding filters from them for around £15.

I find the problem with wearing a mask whilst welding is that i can't blow out any small underseal fires!

Yep, you can huff and puff several times before you realize that the mask is still down! :D
