Hi all A have a 1.9dg caravelle
Problem is momentary power loss for maybe 2-4 seconds bursts for about 30 seconds to a minute. Always happens just as engine is getting up to temp, about 3-4 miles from cold and am doing about 50-60 mph but has done it going at lower speeds but is mainly when maintaining about 3000rpm and like I say 5-7 mins 3-4 miles into journey. After this she runs fine and engine always sounds fine,
I've given her a full svs, checked timing, repaired pre heat pipe,
I would like to strip the carb but am not very confident at doing this as don't want to make it worse because going to France in her next Thursday, also on a budget so any simple DIY checks I can do would be great.
help please, momentary loss of power, France in 6 days time!

Hello,
If you've checked for air leaks, and the motor starts ok...
Then you might have an electrical fault that seems to go away once warmed up.
Clean up all your spade connectors, or if you have the dreaded hall amplifier, then make sure the plugs are well seated.
I'm in Central France and can offer shade, hookup . and a workshop.
