Valuation for insurance

Post by Jeff J »

How do people arrive at a sensible valuation for insurance purposes after refurbishing a T25? Is it purely just costs incurred? The minimum price you would sell for? What you would hope to sell for: or some other method. Thanks :?

I've had an agreed valuation for a few years but I wanted to update it.

So I came up with an updated figure that I thought it was worth to me, then I added a bit to it for good measure.

Then I rang my insurance to arrange an agreed valuation update. They sent me a form to fill in and asked for photos (outside, inside and anything you think will help). I took the photos, got them developed and sent them off with the form. The agreed to my valuation including the extra for good measure :D

Best £10 I have spent for piece of mind should the worst happen

I also did the same thing for the DVLA to get the camper changed to a motorcaravan so I can now legally do 70mph downhill with a severe tailwind  That time though I just printed out the pictures myself
