early radiator connection pipe replacement

Post by cparrack »

My early cooling system (1982 turbo diesel, metal pipes front to rear)
has a steel pipe connecting to top of radiator (near the bleed valve), need a replacement but cannot find the part on brickwerks or justkampers or parts emporium.
Any ideas where i can get one, or what is best replacement solution?
many thanks
charles

have heard from brickwerks and this is what they say

Hi,

The pipe is long obsolete I'm afraid. And as they were only fitted to really early models the chance of finding a good used one are pretty slim…

It might be possible to swap to the later radiator and all associated pipework, but probably easier to have the pipe repaired/remade depending how bad it is.

Michael
