Plugs have all been changed as has the Amplifier (Not much on the old girl that hasnt been changed to be honest!)
The fuel test sounds like a good idea as it certainly feels like a fueling issue... just weird how the 'buzzer of doom' is still buzzing after changing the engine and the clock... My limited understanding cant work out how a fueling problem (if it is this) and the buzzer are connected?
Still as I say certainly got something to work towards tomorrow so once again thankyou for that.
Out of interest what was swapped from the scrap van to your van? Was the whole engine and all ancillaries swapped, or do you have the 'new' block with all your parts on?
If it's your old fuel pump then this could be a good place to start looking for a fueling issue. Tired fuel pump (or short push rod, should be 100mm) only supplies a trickle of fuel at idle so it cuts out after a while as the fuel in the float cahmber gets used up. Under load the pump cannot supply enough fuel either, so van starts to cut out. With no load and medium revs the pump can once again keep up with demand and the van runs, until you do something silly like drive it or let it idle!
If you have a new pump, or it came with the other engine this is probably less likley, unless you are really unlucky! Note if you have a new push rod from GSF it will probably be 2mm too short, which only makes things worse.
