Christchurch Secluded Beaches!
Going on our jollies in a few days and will be staying near Christchurch. Just wondered if any one had any suggestions for quiet beaches where me and the boy can have a paddle, play some games, cook us some grub and just chillax in general away from the hoardes!
Thanks in advance guys and gals!

I would have thought New Zealand would be a bit far to go just for a paddle, but then I am a bit of a home boy myself.

I always used to go to a place called mudeford. Is really nice and recomend it!
Re: Christchurch Secluded Beaches!
I can recommend a part of the beach near Highcliff castle they now call Steamer point (I think) there is lots of free parking by the church it is a bit of a walk but very pleasant not too crowded beach but nice. If you are feeling adventurous drive down to Sandbanks or Shell bay and see how the rich live in the third most expensive place in the world.

I agree, Boscombe Beach is ideal. Some of the people who attended the New Forest Meet 2 in October last year went there on the Sunday afternoon and enjoyed it a lot.guitarman482 wrote:hi guys, boscombe beech is vast and lovely sand for the kids to enjoy. its about two two three miles walk along to get to bournemouth but there is a train that can take you all along the prom .

just head for boscombe pier and take the car park entrance to the right, that will take you all along the beach front road, and just park up....take a load of pound coins with you as it ain't cheap to park,,,,and get there early,,,,like 8 am if the weather forecast is sunny, cos it gets full up real quick

Re: Christchurch Secluded Beaches!
well done on finding a parking space, I got to sandbanks at 9.30 and was lucky to get one of the last spaces along the harbour wall. by 10.00 all the car parks were full, even announcing it on the local radio station.
What a great day..sun sea and everyone was in a happy mood. at 7 pm we did what lots of people do, wade across the corner of Poole harbour just as the tide goes out watching the small fish darting in front of you, as they try not to get left high and dry...I know I know, sad, but its the simple things that make life worth while.
