Loud Ticking noise from Engine?

Hi Guys,

I've been using my Van on a daily basis and went to start her up today and got this http://youtu.be/v1HZTdkDigs

Usual checks are good, Oil, coolant etc... and the noise seems to be coming from the top end

Having done some research on the trusty forum (Thank you once again Club 80-90 crew ) I'm going to self diagnose a sticky tappet? Before I take her for a run to cure, just wondered if anyone thought this noise could be something else?

Engine is a GW 1.9 water cooled.

sounds tappety to me...or someone replaced your lump with a diesel

Took her for a drive and after 25 minutes, refuel and a new air freshner, happy days , problem solved.

Not an expert by far, but we're you low on fuel? Our van started that noise, and as I started to drive off to my friendly mechanic, I soon was aware o the problem ~ no fuel!! Oooops! Apparently was the pump with nothing to pump, so a 20 minute walk, a new green petrol container and some fuel then all sorted!! Mental note, when the van gets towards low, believe it and fill up!!
