t25 gearbox problem

Hey guys,

Recently bought a t25 1900cc petrol which had a gearbox fault.It will select only 1st , 2nd and reverse.When you try 3rd and 4th it just goes into 1st and second, no crunching. I've tried replacing parts of the linkage but to no avail. I've been trying to put the gearbox into 3rd and 4th by moving the linkage on the gearbox.Seems to be when you push the selector fully in and rotate it is reverse gear.When you pull out slightly and push forward and then back that seems to be 1st and second.If you pull the selector fully out it only seems to rotate backwards? i`m thinking its 3rd .But if i try and push forward it dosen`t go.Does it sound like a gearbox fault?Any help would be appreciated.

you are correct, fully out is 3rd and 4th, 4th is forward, middle is 1st and 2nd, fully in is reverse
sounds like broken 3rd4th synchrohub, common fault, full rebuild job to fix I'm afraid
