sender instalation

hi. taken the fuel tank off, 1.6 diesel. forgot how i replace the sender. i think stem to 12.o clock and then a a quarter turn to three
o clock ? is this correct ?

Presumably you mean to lock it in place? I don't know but this is the orientation.
