North wales coast suggestions
I would really like a trip to the seaside so has anyone got any suggestions for a site, not desperate for a hook up but don't want to be knee deep in mud

Shell Island! Ignore the naysayers it can be very tranquil and it's beautiful. Several very quiet campsites between there and Barmouth which are very cheap also.

Stayed at Eisteddfa in Criccieth, handy for Black Rock sands, Pwllheli and the Lyn Peninsular, Caernarfon etc. There's quite a few on the road into Criccieth from Caernarfon aswell. Our daughter has stayed at a site in Llanbedrog, close to the beach.

cheers everyone, think I'll wander along and see what takes my fancy. Not shell island though:-( 20 years ago it was truly brilliant but far too busy for me these days, especially now the kids are on holiday!!

I spent a few days here last year with my teenage lad...its an ace campsite, although just be careful if they put you in the very corner of the field leading to the beach (as we were) we just about managed to get off in pouring rain but there were a few cars that were stuck (I just floored it!

Ty Hen near Rhosneigr.
http://www.tyhen.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
£5 adult, £2.50 kids. Heated outdoor pool, play area, free showers, 10 min walk from Rhosneigr beaches. Close to RAF Valley so avoid if Hawk training flights are not your thing. Might bump into Will n Kate though......
