twin square lights

Post by Dazco »

Im just putting everything back on the van after a bit of a revamp.
Ive put the lights back in and im not sure whether they are working as they should.
The outer oblong ones work fine on parking dip and main, its the inner square ones that im not sure about.
Are they fog lights or just additional driving lights.
should they operate as front fog lights and should therefore come on when fog light is on?
Rear fog light works fine but im getting nothing from the front.
Fog light switch has 2 positions . Rear fog comes on on second position

Thanks 1664. That narrows it down a bit. Is it normal then to have main beam working on the larger outer light units as well then?

Got to say that mine are 'spectacular' now I've relayed them with their own 4.5mm feed wires. That together with Osram Nighbreaker Plus bulbs and I am quite frankly amazed at the difference.

And yes, all four come on with full beam....outters only on dip.

re wired them this afternoon , some dodgy soldering had been done sometime in the past.
once its through the MOT ill look at re wiring all of them, sort the mess out , Cheers.
I checked the voltage at the bulb end and its around 9.5 /10 volts so getting alot of voltage drop.
