My 1600 ct engine requires a new carb. Took off a 34 pict 4..... Can find lots of pict 3's but no pict 4's. Does it really matter? What is the difference?

No. I bent the throttle spindle like a dumb ass while I was putting in a refurb kit.
She may not be the best bus, but she's the best that i've got.
