Hi, recently had a split replay fitted between the main battery and leisure battery to top up the leisure driving. Works great and was just wondering the following: satnav works off 12v ciggy lighter that, obviously, only works with the 12v switch on the zig on. Previously this would have drained all the juice from the lesiure battery, but now its hooked up to the main will this just keep it topped up whilst I'm driving and allow me to use the ciggy lighter for the satnav? No need to worry about fridge as it isn't wired up.
Any advice much appreciated.

Is it a homebrew conversion? Only the original ciggie lighter in the dash doesn't go via a Zig unit. The split charge effectively connects your leisure battery to the alternator and starter battery when the engine is running so will easily cope with a sat nav while you're on the move.
Cheers for the reply. The ciggy lighter was put in by a mate last year and we put it through the cupboard under the hobs, picking up the electrics off the zig, so it sits behind the driver's seat. Easiest at the time! The split relay was fitted by another mate the other week! It was dead simple and runs direct from the main to the leisure battery with a couple of in-line fuses and an earth. It self-sensors or something, so only kicks in if and when the leisure needs topping up and also stops the main being drained down. I think! Anyway, it sounds like it shouldn't be a problem. Cheers.
