Anyone know where to buy this trim?

Post by triumphboy »

Hi all

Does anyone know where I can get the plastic interior trim that runs inside the sliding door on an '89 Auto-Sleeper please? Thanks. :)

Is that an actual photo of the trim fitted to your Camper? If so, looks to me to be the wrong way round. As to a supplier, I have no clue, but would be interested in one myself.

No its not - thats the plastic trim for the top rail on the inside to reduce the thud as your head collides with the track . :wink: Well it was when I clicked the link.

Dazco has it though. http://www.vanwurks.co.uk/stainless-ste ... Bd4HaAeKQM" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We've used aluminium stair edge, slightly more expensive, but looks good, non-slip and hard wearing.

Mmmm, well that didn't work!

The Vanwurks stainless 'high floor' trim doesn't seem to be right...Fitted how I think it's suppose to fit, the bottom lip (on the right of this photo) is way too wide meaning the door won't close eg

Image

or if you move it up so that bottom lip fits, the upper lip is way too high above the carpet eg

Image

and from the other side

Image

It's not just me(!), I took it to Chris Cross Motors who said it won't fit either...I can't see how it would fit any van not just mine. Confused! :?

Any suggestions at all please??

I bought some regular carpet edge (the metal type) and fitted that. Cheap and effective.

Have you tried Auto-Sleeper to see if the original one is still available? I would rather put the original one back on mine
