well from here we nipped down to Cork but enroute stopped of at Michelstown to drop a sunroof of for a mate who i know from Qatar any how missed him by a few days so met up with his old fella, anyhow i digress between Killaloe and Cork is the Glen of Aherlow and in particulat the van site run by a very old mate , now i dont use sites save to sneak in fo a shower but here i m ake the exception, the views are stunning and the site should be held up as an example of how it should be done, good wifi too, will post a link up later anyhowe then it was onto michelstown for a mint lunch at a place that does cake to die for so I die a lot this trip then finally on to cork well cobh more precisely, good few stoppies here

funny enough this s[pot was 200yds from a place we looked at buying a few years ago but thats another tale, spent a few days here and jan did the shopping type thing in cork and came away with something to be shown later.
weather was brilliant most of the time, the week prior it was major flooding down this way, anyhows we made our way to Kinsale and up to the old fort well we got waylayed in a bar on the waters edge so had to stop the night there, here the sleeping view(cars left later on) and on the table is a chocolate praline mousse that description dont do it justice, concentrated choc made by angels bought for me in of all places the english market in cork the earlier, why english i dont know.. the other tarte was equally nice

we went further up the hill to the fort and this is the view south onto Kinsale harbour

so next day we had a nosey round the area and stayed here

right in the middle of it al
this was a bit further along the coast near Timoleague

from here we made our way round to Bantry and met a few folk we know and stayed the night on the new jetty on the west of the harbour. nothing to spoil the view and a fresh water tap to boot

there is LPG on the cork road about 2 miles out of town
if you wanted a bit more solitude then you could nip round to the airstrip for the air Arran flights and there is anice parking area there with good sea views
Archie decided he wanted to swim so down to the boat clubs jetty 2 mins away and in with a "stick"

thats his daly wash sorted
this next stoppy was on a side track near Trafask on the way to castletownbere from Kenmare

saw nor heard anyone, the water was xstall and you could see some 10' down, a very special place.
we do castletownbere and get some fresh fish and spot this porn for the syncro lads

I t helps that as we been coming for ten plus years and sometimes twic a year and spend 3 to 4 weeks a time that weve bought most of the O/S maps for the areas we go, then we can find all the hidden form the general roads places
