Hi
Looking for a bit of guidance!!
Vehicle is 1986 1.9 pertrol 4 speed
Have done the following:
Replaced clutch
Re set all gear linkages
Stripped and refit accelerator pedal.
Looking at the carb it is a pierburg, also some of the pipework from the airfilter/carb have been blocked off.
Not sure but think distributor may not be original as in back lefthand corner of engine bay there is what looks like a regulator?? there are no wires feeding into it.
When driving the vehicle it pulls away in first gear but seems a bit hyper! you feel the need to ride the clutch to stop it running away.Feels like a fuel issue as opposed to a gearbox isssue.
Any thoughts
Paul B

Re: 1.9 Petrol Engine Help
Hi thanks for response.
I think I am trying to solve what is poor work before,!!!
So hi revving yes..... Found that throttle cable is not secured properly at pedal end and also pedal mechanism stiff.
So think can solve high revving.
Jumping away in first yes.....it seems to want to be away
No wheel spinning...As yet
Planning to have attest drive today and see if any improvement.
