1981 air cooled T25

Post by akikolajoie »

I recently replaced a head, jug and piston on my t 25. I put the engine back in, adjusted the valves and it will start, run for a few minutes and then won't start again. Been working on this for a while and am quite frustrated at this point. Has anyone got any advice? It will start and run ok for a few minutes and then it just won't start again. It is fuel injected as well. Thanks

is it getting fuel properly
try taking off the dizzy cap then turn engine over then check see if plugs are wet IF you cant see fuel going through the injectors could be blocked somewhere
have you checked the pressure on each piston
and lastly id check the leads dizzy rotor and plugs, but im guessing a fuel problem
didnt know you could get a fuel injected Aircooled be interesting to hear that up and running sometime
hope this helps

try running a permanent live feed from the battery to the positive connection on the fuel pump and see if this improves things
