Radiator capacity in t25 1.9 petrol?

Post by Shem »

Hi, setting off for France tomorrow in the 1989 T25 and have bought a couple of Rad weld bottles as it does loose a small amount of water it seems. It says each bottle is good for 14 litres of fluid, but Im guessing the capacity of the water system is more than that?

Any one know what it is? I realise I could probs down loud a manual somewhere?? but Im rushing about so thought Id ask.

I think the general advice is to avoid RadWeld and similar in these engines as it does more harm than good?

Capacity is 16-18 litres according to this very site!

You will probably be returning on the back of a truck. As said dont use radweld. It will block your radiator.Use kseal. It wont.

Thanks!

Will try and track one down en route tomorrow.

It only looses a really small amount, hard to even notice, but theres some water stains on the outside of the rad, so I'm pretty sure it is.

Thanks again its much appreciated.

I got one, but so far so good. Driven 700 miles to Royan and hardly used any water. Must have just needed a top up, I hope! Have one as emergency anyway, thanks again!
