Aircooled Crankcase Temperature

Hi all,

How hot does you Crankcase get at the top of the engine..you know the part inside in the engine bay were it bolts together..Can you touch it without burning your fingers after a run ?
Im just paranoid that mine appears hot but could be normal..
My dipstick can be held without burning my fingers after a 10 mile run so its just me I think....

i was the same but i was assured that if i look after it ie change the oil and filter regular then it shouldnt be a problem also make sure all vents are free flowing

not shure about the crankase but after a 3 hour run at motorway speeds the tinwear was only look warm if checked soon as you stopped
