Hi all,
My Mots due at the end of the month, and was wondering if anyone can recommend a local garage that knows T25's. I live in Kingston upon thames and have always taken the syncro to my dads garage but thats near exeter. Im hoping it should fly through this time so thought i'd save myself the trip and go local. I dont mind travelling a bit to find a good garage,
thanks!

Yes, can back that up. They own and run t25's including a syncro so know them well! Adrian at the garage is also on here sometimes.

Just to balance the above out... I used Duncans garage this week and wasnt impressed. I took my watercooled T25 there last friday, I didnt hear anything from the garage for the whole week so rang them today to find out what was happening. The van went in with a loud noise coming from the engine and a engine oil warning light that was going off. After having the van for 7 days with no communication from them. They said that there is no problems with the engine, the oil test is fine and as a result they believe the oil warning light going off is an electrical fault. He did want to keep the van for another two days till monday in order to fit a new LED light. However I said we could do this ourselves as we wanted the van back. They fixed nothing with the electrical fault and replaced nothing to do with engine warning light. They fixed nothing to do with the loud noise in the engine and said this was to do with the hydraulic cam followers. They replaced one clamp which was a clamp covering the rocker cover which had broke when they tried to remove it. They charged me for the part and the labour involved in replacing it. Total bill was £248.22. The hourly rate is £50 when I said I thought this was high they said I had been charged the air cooled rate and that the water cooled rate was £60-£65 per hour. Duncan was not there when I collected the van, no member of staff that was present could explain what work had actually been done to justify the labour charges. All I was given was a short list of bullet points from a computer print out. Therefore I wont be using Duncan's again. Feel free to make up your own mind. I just wanted to balance out the available information.

If you just want it MOT'd and nothing else I would go to Kingston Mr Clutch. Less than 30 quid and the tester is an older guy who seems to know his vehicles. Passed my van last time round despite it pissing oil all over his lovely clean floor
