Van security

Post by the jig »

OK so Ive got my van back on the road after 2 year restoration.
All I have to do now is stop some thief getting in and stealing things.

I can stop them stealing it with an immobilizer, but what i really want is to stop them getting in by forcing the doors/lock.
I have seen extra security locks for T4's T5's Transits etc but nothing for the good old T25.

Any ideas?

thanks :D

Nobody is going to discuss security measures on an open forum. To be honest there really isn't much you can do if someone is determined to get in - they'll smash, break, jemmy until they're in. Best you can do is deter the 'opportunist'. And certainly don't leave valuables in the van.....

If it has windows in the rear, locks won't help when they can just break a window.

Cover it in daisies like mine. You can then leave the keys in the ignition for weeks on end claiming you'd lost them (as I did) and still no bugger will pinch it. Works a treat.

Leave it open..
Take all valuables out

doors & pillars are obsolete repairs are expensive.
Just imobilise it
chain it to a ground anchor
