New T25 Owner - Where can I purchase the gutter trim

Post by Sjh_987 »

Hi,
Apologies for the probably stupid question but can anyone help me with where I can purchase the trim for the small trim that goes round the top of the van just above the window line. (photo below). Also can I just pop it on to replace the existing I do I need to add some kind of glue/resin etc?

Many thanks in advance

Stefan

Hi,

thanks for your help. I'm finding the biggest challenge is using the correct terms for the various bits ! Gutter trim is now in my vocab !

Is this the same thing from JustKampers?

http://www.justkampers.com/shop/2518537 ... 11544.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Also it mentions end mouldings, I definitely don't have these, do I need them?

thanks again for your help

Stefan

Hi,
Sorry, my laptop isn't so good with pictures, so I can't see if the JK one is silver or black? I don't use JK. Maybe another member can verify?
As for the extra bit, do you mean the A pillar trim? If your van doesn't have it, then it's personal choice really, I've seen vans with and without. It certainly doesn't connect to the gutter trim in any way.
Hope this helps

I think he means the little plastic bits that curve onto the ends of the gutter and join to the trim.
If so these are no longer available and I haven't been able to source any from anywhere else, maybe someone has a source on here or some available as I need a couple for mine. Mine were quite rigid and brittle when I took them off to paint the van recently.
I suppose a couple of peices of the trim itself may do the job with the ends sealed off.

Just did a quick search and discovered people talking about the Mini trim and having to heat it to fit the corners? Maybe someone on here has already used it? :?

Sounds like it could develop into a plan whitevan women :)
Thanks for the tip.
Also to the original poster, my trim was stuck on with what seemed like tiger seal or some such sealant as it was still soft enough and gooey to make it a real pain to clean spotlessly for painting. Not good for cleaning but I know mine has been on there since it left the factory in 88, so good quality
Mine will just fix back on as there is still a fair bit in the trim.
