Help buying new speakers please!

Hi peeps,

I'm in the process of replacing the head unit and speakers in the van, i'm not sure what speakers to buy so i wondered if anyone can help please?

The old ones i've taken out are Pioneers, they state 16 cm on the rear. Does this mean i must replace with exactly the same size to avoid any alterations to the hole size in the door? I don't want to mess about with cutting bigger holes, so i just wondered if it must be the same, or can i get something slightly different, like a 16.5 or 17 cm pair?

Measure the hole and match on that. You can get adaptor plates to reduce the hole size but they can look a bit heath robinson if the grill isn't big enough to cover the plate.
