I'm head of a small special school. We have been taking our kids there for the last 15 years. It's a beautiful place an lovely beach. But I wouldn't go in the main holidays as the facilities can't cope. You get all sorts there but live an let live

What he said ^^^^

We've been every year for the last 5 years with a large group of families and usually go on a June or July weekend before the main school holidays. We've always had a fabulous time and found the site management and facilities fine, although the portaloos at the dune end can get a little whiffy. Perhaps a site to use out of season unless you choose the less popular camping spots there?

It's pretty much camouflaged on a campsite but stands out like a sore thumb on an urban motorway :D I was heading from the New Forest back to Stockport, I passed a number of vans en route for a change, this time without having to wave at them from the back of an AA flatbed :D Were you travelling in the same direction as me?

Ive never had any problems and have left surf boards, etc in unlocked tents. It does get very busy with all sorts, but I think its down to where you camp and what it is your leaving behind. Great spot though, love it :)
