Best drive away awning with ground sheet

Post by pfield69 »

I' looking for a good drive away awning for my tin top.

I have a suncanopy for days out and aquired a royal traveller style awning.

What I need is a decent awning for camping. If it is a tunnel type I would prefer it to go along the van rather then sticking out. The absolute must have is a sewn in ground sheet. It must also have sleeping pods.

I have checked all the likely web pages but cant really see what I want.

Help and photos would be uch appreciated.

No one has any idea?

I found this
http://www.outdoor-revolution.com/drive ... kombi.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and this
http://www.campingworld.co.uk/Models.aspx?ModelID=7967" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Does anyone have either of these?

Thanks for any help

Khyam do a good range and the waterproofing is great, only problem is that they don't have the built in groundsheets you're looking. I've got the Khyam Driveaway Sleeper with the inbuilt 4 berth sleeping area, used it 3 times now and it survived the storms in North Devon at the beginning of the month.
Have a look here: http://www.khyam.co.uk/products.asp?s=C ... %20Awnings" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This is all new to me, please be gentle. 1989 Reimo High Top Conversion, manual 5-speed, 2.1 petrol.

I've seen these at shows and they are a really good size, big enough to still have useful space when the bedrooms are in it - and it has a sewn in groundsheet

:ok

Thanks guys.

The XC looks good. Very similar to the outdoor revolution one but cheaper.

I'm still looking for my new awning.
I just bought and returned a Khyam XC on ebay. It looked good in the garden, easy to put up (25min with no instructions and just me). It would have been a keeper if the previous owner hadn't put it away wet - it was covered in mildew.
