M.O.T FAILURE TODAY :( ..My indicators work either side,Put hazard lights on and they only work drivers side(left hooker)..Any idea's..relay??.Where would I find the relay for hazards.It also failed on track rod end ball joint dust cover's..easy to change??PLEASE help!! :ok

But I've got arthritis in my one arm!
Checked my covers the other day - looks like I'll have to change them before the next MoT - we are all going to be be caught on this one soon I should think.

Hello,

wrt to hazards, I'd reckon the thing to check is the wiring from your hazard switch. The signal from the indicators goes through the hazard switch so I'd wager you just need to clean up your contacts on the switch.

Thanks Guys..I will try the hazard contacts 1st,cheaper option.I have the old style fuse board but I have wiring diagrams but i havent a clue what im looking at.. :D...Does anyone know where I can find the relay for the hazards on the older style fuse board??

Relay is in position 12 - same place:

if your indicators are working then that's not the problem. The relay sends a positive feed (on and off) to the hazard light switch - it controls both the indicators flashing and the hazard lights flashing.

Just done one today, new hazard switch sorted it :ok

are the switches the same for all years mines a 85 left hooker :)

fitted a new switch and it sorted the problem :) the only problem i had was the dont do my style switch anymore so made the hole in the dash bigger with my leatherman it looks ok
