gearbox change

hi i have a 1.6 diesel van with cs engine and abd gearbox fitted possible problem with box what gearbox would be best to fit if i need to change many thanks dave

the abd is a petrol box with better /taller gears than you should originally have

the 1.6 engine was lower geared due to its lack of torque .
interesting to see how it drives at the mo ,at least the abd is designed to do more than 50mph( top speed of standard 1.6d)

i doubt you will be able to up the ratios much more without canging the motor!

hi billy ye drives ok top end 60 but still i think 50 55 engine seems to like smooth running thanks for info on strange noise will keep updating many thanks dave
