The CF30s are much better(faster) and the screen is easier to read in direct sunlight. The onboard USB 2.0, wireless, bluetooth and ethernet make it a much more modern device.
Just a FYI for those looking for toughbooks for their syncros the future.

Which model do you have?

I'm in the market for a netbook that can do windows and read OBD 1.

i bought the software and bluetooth odb adapter off of the bay to stick on my toughbook. not alot of money realy.. under £20 i think. any laptop can run obd software. whether wired or bluetooth. not a massive program

Most of the bluetooth odb devices will only play with OBDII and not plain old OBD.

I concur, I have used both...

Used the 30 for 2 years in my old job. Pretty decent.

A bit dated now, but if it does everything you need, then why not.

I find an iPad much better in the van :D
