Re: awnings
Hi,
A picture of the taps would be best unless it's a factory type conversion ie Westy or Devon etc
The search is a cracking place to start for an awning you will find everything your looking for there.
Cheers

Re: awnings
What do you need an awning for?
it might get more responses
I use a sun/rain awning from Fiamma, keeps the rain out when I open the slider.
Had a frame awning once but found we were taking loads of crap to just put in the thing... sold it after a summer

This was it ...called a Ventura
the sun awning is much easier to get on with

washing line

as a sheltered space with a pal

As a more sociable place

away from the burning sun

Hi Kev
the black and white van on the left has a fiamma awning on a pop top - whos van is it as Id like to ask the a couple of qs about how they installed it!?
Tom
(sorry for hijacking the thread - and yes agree with Kev, I ditched the big frame awning after a couple of trips - I put it up once, then couldnt be bothered to unpack it again. My reason being I bought a van to stop tenting cos I hate all the palava of family tent camping - putting up a big awning is tenting again... if youve got a family and struggle for space - we found a small box trailer is invaluable.)

Re: awnings
you can get "gutter" brackets for those fiamma awnings for poptops ..
i went the cheaper route and bought a caravanstore awning which is just in a big bag ... and then made my own bracket / bar system to mount mine to my poptop gutter.

Re: awnings
My OH and I are having this debate at the moment, we went for a camper to stop the hassle of a wet tent, that is putting us off an awning.
This solution looks perfect. Are they easy to fit?

The question is - how long is the guttering, and so what size awning do you need? They're fairly easy to fit, as far as I can tell. But how secure are they? I mean - do you remove them once you get home, to stop people nicking them?
And what's to stop some pikey opening it for you, while you're not there?
