wild camp Hampshire

Post by Trunkster »

Hi Guys. I have to drop my son off in Brockenhurst Hampshire next week so I thought I would have a wild camp over night. I am coming down from the midlands and dont know the area at all. I do a bit off photography so I was looking at getting pictures of the wild horses. Any one know the area at all? Where is the best place to be ? Is there any thing else in the area I should look at?
Thanx :ok

Denny Wood is lovely but it aint free, and you need your own potty. Horses walk through the campsite and the forests behind are full of deer, no need to book, just pull in and pitch where you fancy.
Dont know of any wild camping spots in the forest...
Enjoy

Hollands Wood is great. Just outside Brockenhurst. Again not free but the New Forest doesn't like true 'Wild camping'. Enjoy.

It's a bit of a pull from Brock but you can park up overnight by the surf shop at Calshot spit. I've parked down by Hurst Castle as well.
