auto gearbox noise ?

just a quick question again ! finally managed to get my van back on the road took it for a spin round the block , pulled up on the drive, put it into park and heard a strange noise that i can only describe as a sort of wining zipping noise, not very clear i know but never heard a noise like it , any ideas ? cheers jeff

does the noise change if a gear selected. Checked oil level of gear box atf and front diff?
Does it select gear o.k
