Stupid coolant question no 1

Post by Seababa »

Plse forgive my ignorance but quick question on expansion water tank (one behind number plate).

Engine stone cold, inside header tank full to brim, new darlek type lid, expansion tank empty. Is it cool to now fill expansion tank to max level (with 50/50 coolant)?

Wouldn't think twice about this in my car but new to this T25 and had air cooled bay before so no dramas!

Yep, monitor all fluid levels everyday until you're 100% happy with what is being used or lost and that all sensors and gauges work correctly.
