Will this gearbox fit?
Will an early type DH code 1.6 petrol Aircooled gearbox go onto a 86 water cooled 1.6 petrol?

I found a great site that shows how much of a change you would get with any gearbox substitution I have put in both the gearbox ratios and you can see the result here

I did yes, cheers. So all the gearboxes are inter-changeble as long as the ratio's are ok?

Aircooled gearbox is different to watercooled apart from the first year 1.6 N/a diesels built upto Dec1982 which had the Aircooled box in them, linkages are different, mounts are different, driveshafts are different
so no it isn't a straight swap
