Custom header tank
Does anyone know where I can have an alloy header tank made in the S. London/Surrey area?

No, it's for the main cooling system. As I don't have a battery tray I don't have the bracket to attach the header tank. It should be cheaper to have a alloy tank made rather than buying a new plastic header and chopping a battery tray.

Would an RJES coolant tank bracket work ? You may need to do some adaption, but should be massively cheaper than a bespoke tank.

Good guy at that rjes, helped a lot with the vss I wanted.
Don't some people use the golf tank that looks like a ball? I'm sure Neil has one, maybe they are easier to fit?

Apparently they are too small for the volume of water in a T3 cooling system.

i have not had a problem in the last 18 months with my fish bowl it came from a golf, they are common across the vag cars from around 1990 onwards ish. they are also commonly used on many engine conversions in the states, if your worried about the volume there is one used on t4's which is about 25% bigger.

Nope WRONG. I have one on mine. Works perfectly fine.

Cheers
