Yep, hydraulic, but if you want to check them it's in our wiki here = https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Hy ... _explained" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Not sure however what "tork" is referring to

Yes still here and still a girl
No I really appreciate all your helps peeps, I just need to get in the hang of going back over old posts for info etc.
I do know a wee bit of mechanics with riding bikes for last 30 odd years but when it comes to campers not so good.....
I will keep you all posted of the work and post a pic when it is back on the road.

Re: Tork & Tappets Settings
BTW I wasn't being facetious about a Haynes manual, every car owner should have one ... no matter what gender they may be ... it would have acted as a B.S. detector with your 'mechanic'. All the relevant torque settings and adjustments are included (some wrong - on initial installation the hydraulic tappets should be set at contact plus 1/2 - 3/4 a turn i.e. 180-270 degrees).
Please do not be misled into thinking resealing one bank of cylinders is an easy or light job, to do it properly the engine will need to come out and (as I already said in your previous thread) it's opening a can of worms, a good many other jobs should be done at the same time, clutch, spigot bearing, engine mounts, exhaust overhaul, cooling system overhaul and there are more.

Re: Tork & Tappets Settings
Thanks, unfortunately the engine is wrecked and not worth fixing so a recon from elite vw is being ordered tomorrow...
It should be back on the road in 2 weeks hopefully if engine gets here in 10 days
All good and happy enough, you gotta spend to keep your camper sweet!
Thanks folks again for all your help, I will be back!!!

I know you weren't, I have manuels for all my bikes and will be investing in one for the camper.
Want to start servicing it myself once it is all sorted.
Thanks again
