Switzerland - Paris (somewhere nice halfway?

Post by 8673sharp »

Hi all, like it says on the tin really... Looking for a nice place worth staying half way between Interlaken and Euro Disney?
Going to be staying 3 nights and have a 2 year old with the attention span of a ... 2year old
On the map, Dijon looks like a reasonable stop over but not sure how the littlun will find museums and medieval architecture :?:

Thanks in advance
Paul

Hello,

Beaune... south of Dijon, but easy access to and from motorways

Very good camping municipale with shady spots, resto and lots of play space.

No booking, try to be there by 4 pm.

Nearby is the impressive 'Canal du centre' and super wine chateaux.

The town is nice too, with shady squares

Hope this helps.

Cordialement,

:ok

Fabulous campsite just outside Interlaken - Camping du Lac at Iseltwald. On the way back, we stopped at Lac du der Chantecoq near St Dizier. There is a campsite but also plenty of wild camping there too. Lovely beach which your 2 year old would love, and a shallow lake to paddle/swim in. Have a good trip!

Hello,

Les Cent Vignes.

Sort of on the edge of centre of town, so only a few minutes walk into the very attractive centre with shady squares. Centre of the Cote d'or wine region.

Nice campsite with big hedges between pitches. Good resto with terrace.

Cordialement,

Why do all us Brits go to Interlaken lol.......arhhh! full of brits lol.

My father is Swiss BTW and whenever he visits the area he goes to Grindelwald...just up the valley from said tourist trap. shhhhhh! our secret, don't tell anyone!.

Between Paris & Switzerland....well an area? would be the beautiful mountainous Alsace region of France.
