Hi there, just thought I'd ask a quick question...
I noticed today when driving up some pretty beefy long hills, some black smoke coming from the exhaust. It's not a lot, but can be seen from my nearside mirror. I'm driving a 1989 1.6 diesel with full load. If I drop down from that gear to the one below to give higher revs, then it's not as bad. I'm guessing that for a 20 year old engine pushing 2.5 tonne brick up a hill I'm always going to get some smoke...
Any thoughts?
Ta, Adam
