Just completed First Big Adventure to Scotland

Post by rustyrat »

Just got back to home to kent after first big trip out in my 2.1dj powered high top.

Made it all the way to Huntly Aberdeen without bearly a problem despite having enough spares & tools to build another bus at the side of the road, all I needed to do was tighten up my new JK mirrors as they kept folding in on the motorway & the rear crankseal drip is now more a of puddle when stopped which wasn't a problem just kept dipping the level at each stop, but that's a job for another weekend.

Well it was a great week long trip made 2 overnight stops there an the same back, an managed to burn £354 of petrol ouch! & covered just shy of 1400 miles, but it was worth it need to start planning the next trip :D

Any Scottish members may know the answer to this on the way out of Huntly on the A96 I past a large yard full of part broken up T25 and bays?? there was a workshop building but I couldn't see any sign up, wish I stopped & took a pic but it was chucking it down an blowing a gale at the time. Any one know who it is must be a VW specialist me thinks :?:

Hi,

It's the Pitcaple Vw & Audi centre

Bit of a mixed bag of reports locally, not the best reputation but not the worst either.

Cheers

It looked like a gold mine for parts, there where loads of old buses out the front.

Nope all belong to either customers awaiting restoration or are the guys own donors.
From experience I know there are no parts for sale.
