fuel gauge

Post by docwalker99 »

hi guyS

I have had a non working fuel gauge from day one of owning this van, but suddenly after having to do a DIY repair to the dash bulbs, ie wire in three new bulbs as the pcb caught light, the fuel gauge has started to work would the fact that I had only two bulbs in the dash before the small fire prevented the gauge from working as the missing bulb may have meant that there was a break in the curcuit,

Any suggestions or answers to this riddle would be most welcome.

Nothing to do with only having two bulbs,
More likely the flexible pcb had a break in it that your "repair" has cured. either by putting tension on the connector or twisting the pcb itself.
