Dash Elecrical Question

Post by RoyalVW »

Afternoon All

I have been trying to figure out what on earth is going on here. The scenario is as follows:

With the van lights on and the ignition off, the dash lights work. :D
With the van lights on and the ignition on, the dash loghts don't work ! :x
When I turn the lights on the flashing temperature light stops, but starts again when the lights are turned off !!

As we are going to Italy in the summer I would like to have a fully working van so I can drive in the dark.

Any ideas folks?

Thanks for the advice. I cleaned uop all the contacts on the crown, but to no avail. Moving on it has ebeeen found to be a fauly light switch, which has been taken apart as much as can be, cleaned and then put back together. All now works OK.
Thanks again
