Problem with 5th Gear on T25 1.9DG 1990

I have a problem with 5th gear where once it is selected and I take my hand off the gear stick it pops out of gear - if i hold the gear stick it stays in gear - any ideas? Linkage? Gearbox? Was going to go away for the weekend! Not now!!!

run through the linkage , but probably a worn gearbox

make sure the stick dosent hit anything when in place

Any idea where I can the parts to rennovate my gearbox - I am told the shaft for 5th Gear must be worn!

chances are the mainshaft bearing is worn and may also have moved in the case, there may be damage to 5th gear and to the synchro hub and slider parts and the synchro ring will be worn, maybe wear on the fork and or broken selector fork shaft bearing(s)
it's a full rebuild job and chances are there will be other worn parts to replace too
