hi everyone

need a bit of help from one or to of you guys
was out in the van last week and ended up over heating her which has blowen the head gaskit which is a bit of a shame but better for it to blow when i'm at home than mile's away eh anyway the engine i have is a 1.6td jx but a lot of ppl have been saying about this aaz which i'm not all that sure about and than some one told me to fit a 1y which is the same as a aaz i think and than some one told me to fit a Subaru which cost will be a lot more to fit so not all that keen on this one

anyway just like to see what you guy think i should drop back in her or do i just sort the old jx out which was flat to start with

AAZ seems to be a fairly common install. And you have most the bits you will need to do the conversion.
I suppose you could rebuild the jx but i dont think it would really be economical.

yeah i hear you about the jx not being worth the work but do you now much about a 1y engine ?

Can't say I know a great deal. Again it sounds like a worthy conversion but it doesn't seem to be done as often as the AAZ

yeah thats the thing i dont now a lot about any of them just hopin i pick the right one for the job and it just bolt in lol

okay ended up getting the aaz got new time belt and water pump and seal and fan belt oil filter fuel filter and oil today wash engine all down so all clean before removing anything from it will start on it tomz and tidy up the engine bay and may have it fitted before the end of the weekend good job its a long weekend tho lol
