photo of devon pop top gas struts

Hi - my 1981 T25 needs a new pop top and when looking for parts I see that the struts come in sets of 4. My roof only has 2 struts but I've been reading the posts on here and others have only 2 struts on theirs too. Its possible that at some time in the past two of the struts were removed/broke or whatever but my question is - if I buy a set of 4 - how do I mount the other two? Does anyone have a photo or diagram of the layout of the 4 struts? Or can you recommend a site I can go to where I can see the struts mounted?

Thanks for the photos - I'll have to go and study mine a bit more cos I dont think I have that white plastic surround your bolts are attached to......... mmmmn
