Obsolete coolant pipe 1.6 CS

Post by Wyandotte »

Hi guys - I'd be grateful for any advice on how to find a replacement coolant pipe for my 1985 1.6d CS. It's sprung a couple of tiny leaks in the 4 way 'octopus' pipe over the top of the block. Looking and asking around I believe the part is no longer available (068-121-101C). Do any of you know of any secret stashes or, failing that, any recommendations for a company that might be able to make one up?

Also, If I need to top up the coolant, where should I fill it from - I assume the highest point would be radiator?

Ta v much - David

Cant help with the pipe.Im assuming you have tried. http://www.brickwerks.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (Although an ad in the wanted section wouldn't hurt) You top the coolant up using the header tank (Not the one behind the flap)

Available at a price in the US -GREASEWORKS in a set of silicone ones.
Not that expensive considering VW charged me £90 for the 3 way one quite a few years ago.
