CV joints

Post by syncropete »

Looking for good quality front outer CV joints (14" , 16" non locking). Have previously bought GKN which have proved to be not reliable. I have a broken joint on our minibus and a clicking joint on the Van. Need to do something and would prefer a UK source, but Germany ok.
Pete.

I'd rather use old serviceable originals than buy new at the moment Pete, or go for the £31 ones and do some destruction testing Africa style

There are 6 companies making this part, 4 of them are GKN related/sourced.
The lemforder one is discontinued but still listed.
The only other is JP Group, these are the cheap ones with no seal ring that are being banded about.
I notice Interparts are no longer listed on TecDoc.

EKG, Farcom, Lobro and Spidan are the GKN ones.

On another note, we've never had a GKN joint back.
We've sold over a hundred.

The same JP (Australia) who make the badly toleranced repro pistons?
