I'm planning on going away for the Jubilee weekend in the camper. Was just checking over the van and noticed a small hole (and small leak) from the second fuel return pipe on my 1.6 TD JX diesel. Firstly how dangerous is this, I'm aware diesel is much safer than petrol but assuming it's still dangerous?
The hole appears to be nearer the connector on the diesel injector. Will I need to fix this asap? I saw on another post its a 5min job so just wanted to confirm this and ask for any advice in doing so. The engine starts/runs fine with no loss of power that I've noticed apart from the usual white smoke when reving on start up, and I'm pretty sure it has a knocking sound too.
Anyone know if GSF do them as guessing I'll need to get some ASAP!
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Re: Leaking Fuel Return Pipe on a JX Question
It is a simple job to replace them, they just pull off and you can buy them cut to length or you can buy it by the foot and cut them yourself, I keep a length in the van as I seem to get through them a bit.

It is something I can buy at GSF/Halfords or any mechanics type shop? I've seen them in Brickwerks but worried they won't arrive in time.

Most motor factors keep them.

Re: Leaking Fuel Return Pipe on a JX Question
Hi there - just had this problem myself. The blanking plug - only two months old from "a motor factor" failed catastrophically - squirting out a jet of fuel. The result was that air gets into the fuel lines and fuel starvation can (did)occur and the engine would not start. Hope this helps.Cheers.
